Danish mid-century shelf from Søborg Møbel Fabrik made of teak. Søborg Møbel Fabrik was founded in 1890 by Jacob E. Jacobsen and is known for its high-quality furniture.
Located in the suburbs of Copenhagen, the traditional cabinetmaking workshop established by Jacob Jacobsen was modernized by his sons Arne (1899-1977) and Orla (1895-1980) when they took over in 1930.
They have a long tradition of working with respected Danish architects and designers in the development of the company’s products. Some of them being Børge Mogensen, Mogens Lassen, Christian Hvidt and Flemming Hvidt.
