We are a Melbourne-based vintage furniture shop with a passion for mid-century modern designs. Our collection is directly imported from Scandinavia, primarily Denmark, and features iconic pieces from renowned designers and architects such as Arne Jacobsen, Finn Juhl, Poul Kjærholm, Hans J Wegner, Poul Henningsen, Jørn Utzon, Børge Mogensen, and many more.
As the founder of distinkt, I grew up in Denmark surrounded by Scandinavian furniture and homewares. Modern design is in my DNA, and I have always had a great passion and respect for mid-century designers and architects.
Despite Australia and Scandinavia being situated on opposite points of the planet, the two regions share a love for warm, relaxed, and welcoming homes. When I founded distinkt, I wanted to share my passion for modern design with other lovers of good design. Melbourne, with its vibrant design community, was the perfect place to do this.
