Anne-Mette Jensen and Morten Ernst

The famous Danish designer duo, Anne-Mette Jensen and Morten Ernst started their collaboration in 1994. It happened when they entered a design competition announced by the furniture Manufacturer Erik Jørgensen.

The objective of the competition was to find “a new place or form of togetherness”. Jensen & Ernst were still students at the Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture when they entered. Nevertheless, they surprised everyone when they won with their “Wave Sofa”. The sofa soon attracted international attention and it is now being sold around the world.

The competition was also the beginning of a long-lasting relationship with Erik Jørgensen who they are still collaborating with.

Since they started in 1994, the design duo have become an established duo in contemporary furniture design and they are particularly known for their organic-shaped furniture.
